Dustin Poirier said he has not heard from the UFC for months and believes he is waiting for Conor McGregor to recover to order a fourth match.
A fourth clash could occur between Poirier and McGregor after a major blow in Las Vegas last summer.
The American beat McGregor through a doctor’s stop after an Irishman broke his leg at the end of the first round of the mild attack.
After victories at UFC 257 and UFC 264, “Diamond” led “Notorious” 2-1.
It looked like McGregor might have a chance to level up their competition, with Poirier suggesting the UFC would book a fourth match.
He also revealed that he had not heard from Dana White and Co in the last two months.
When asked if he was going to fight Nate Diaz, Poirier replied: “I don’t know what happened. I haven’t heard anything from anyone in the last two months.”

The 33-year-old went on to suggest that promotion is waiting for McGregor to improve before Game 4 later this year.
When asked if the UFC was waiting for McGregor to resume fighting against them for the fourth time, he replied: “Probably so.”

McGregor is on the move and is getting closer to his return to the UFC, White talks about returning in the summer.
“His legs are doing really well. I hope he can come back this summer,” he said in a speech in January.
The former UFC double champion is on a two-fight losing skid, having lost back-to-back fights to Poirier.
He’s called for an immediate title shot, eyeing the likes of UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira and UFC welterweight king Kamaru Usman.
Oliveira, though, is scheduled to defend his title against Justin Gaethje while Usman appears set to face Leon Edwards.
