Quetta Gladiators all-rounder Faheem Ashraf is confident about his PSL performance and committed to stay consistent for his squad and the national team.
Faheem revealed his excitement about joining a new organization this season and restated his aspirations. It’s a new team, but I’m still determined to perform well, win matches, and reach the final. Performing well in the league is excellent, but Faheem wants to do the same for Pakistan.
The former Islamabad United right-arm bowler stressed the PSL’s role in Pakistani cricketers’ professional and financial development.
In Pakistan, PSL is the biggest brand and a worldwide known league. It has helped players financially and professionally. Senior players are reigniting the excitement and capturing fans’ attention this season, he said.
The 31-year-old acknowledged the growing challenges for bowlers in T20 cricket and his growing comfort with the bat.
“I enjoy batting more now because T20 cricket is tough on bowlers. Our players are explosive, not just in the IPL. He noted that every PSL squad is formidable, and the real competition begins midway through the campaign.
On the second day of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, the Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in their opener.
Quetta beat Zalmi by 217 runs and dismissed Babar Azam’s squad for 136 to start their campaign.
A loss to Lahore Qalandars in their second encounter was disappointing. Shaheen Afridi’s team scored 220 runs, while the Gladiators were bowled out for 140, their first league loss. On April 18, the Gladiators meet Karachi Kings in their third tournament encounter at the National Bank Stadium.
