During Australia’s trip of India in 2022, the two countries will play a series of Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). India and Australia will play a three-game Twenty20 series in 2022. On September 20, IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali will host the first T20I between India and Australia. The second Twenty20 International will take held in Nagpur on September 23.

While the third Twenty20 International will be played in Hyderabad on September 25. India’s most recent tournament appearance was the Asia Cup 2022, where they lost two of three games in the semifinals and were eliminated from title contention. There was a Twenty20 International series between India and the West Indies in July and August of 2022.

India defeated the West Indies, who were playing host, in the series by a score of 4-1. Australia recently defeated New Zealand in a three-game One-Day International (ODI) series. As of June of 2022, Australia have not played a Twenty20 International series since June 2022 against Sri Lanka. Australia swept the first two games of the series but fell short in game three. They took the series with a score of 2-1.

There have been 22 total Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) between India and Australia. There have been 13 Indian victories and 8 Australian ones. It was a scoreless draw in one match. Australia has won three and lost four of seven games in India. Back in December of 2020, India and Australia played in a T20I series that India won 2-1.
