Boxing fans tear up Jack Paul after posting footage of himself training on a reflex bag. Take a look below.
Despite being inactive in 2022, the struggling YouTuber sports star remains committed to his craft.
Paul is due to fight again later this year (probably August) and has decided to share recent training clips online.
The reflex bag is used to improve sharp shots and avoidance compared to the normal punching bag used to increase strength.
The 25-year-old fighter posted the video of the 5-0 fight with the caption: “Someone was knocked out in August. Who should be?”
However, Twitter users were quick to criticize his technique, arguing that improvements were needed if he was to succeed in the competition.
“Anyone who can pack a box can do it,” said one reviewer.
Another said: “Should this be impressive?”
Rule 3: “I’ll be ashamed if I look like this packaged …”
Someone tweeted: “This guy wants to give Conor McGregor some fight advice?”
Paul first played against content creator AnEsonGib in January 2020 and easily beat his opponent.
Since then, he has beaten former NBA point guard Nate Robinson twice in a row as well as UFC alumni Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.
A controversial figure, Paul recently admitted that turning to boxing could have saved his life.
In a recent interview with Teddy Atlas, the “problem child” admitted he took a dark path before turning to the ring.
He explained: “Boxing saved my life, so I owe it a lot. If it wasn’t for boxing, I might have gone to jail, or I might have died somewhere because I went down a very strange path in my early 20s. The road to sustainable development, so I owe everything to the sport.
“That’s why I’m so passionate about making boxing great again. I’m wearing a hat that says make boxing great again… I’ll slowly earn more respect.”
Despite a spat with UFC president Dana White, Paul is keen to make an appearance in future MMA.
He’s been back and forth with former middleweight champion and UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping recently.
