PCB Acknowledges Players on Social Media Platform X. LAHORE: According to a Friday story by Geo News, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has seen players responding to fan inquiries and holding space sessions on X, a former name for Twitter. Sources claim that PCB has decided to create guidelines for players’ use of social media. The authorities said that the PCB is concerned that the player would avoid controversy and that these social media sessions will be viewed in the context of the central contract. The governing board has also decided to speak with the player’s representatives about the problems. Sources claim that the PCB’s International Cricket Department has been given instructions to look into this situation. Top batsman Babar Azam and T20I captain Shaheen Afridi recently participated in an X Q&A session. On February 1, Abar Azam hosted Space and responded to queries from fans the day before.

The 29-year-old discussed various topics, including his parents, life, and cricket career. However, Babar was surprised to see his friend and Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan in the room when he was quizzed about his plans for marriage.
At first, Babar could not identify Rizwan, but he still inquired about his landing technique.
“What date is your marriage?” inquired Rizwan. Babar answered, “I knew you would ask this.” “You will have to answer this,” Rizwan said. “I will answer this to you privately,” Babar responded.
On the other hand, Shaheen hosted the session on February 4. The left-arm pacer was asked if he would entertain the possibility of bowling alongside retired pacer Mohammad Amir in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Afridi confirmed that he will ask Amir if he’s open to returning to the team.
“I will talk to Mohammad Amir if he’s available to turn in for Pakistan. Amir and I bowled to return to Pakistanis. It was an excellent experience to bowl with him; our partnership was great,” Afridi stated.
