In the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup, the Thai women’s team shocked the crowd by defeating the Pakistani women’s team captained by Bismah Maroof by four wickets at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS).
Pakistan’s bowlers held Thailand’s hitters in check as they chased a manageable 117-run target, but Thailand ultimately won the match by securing the win in the last over. During a crucial situation where they needed 16 runs in two overs, Nida Dar bowled an economical over, allowing only six runs while also capturing the prized scalp of Natthakan Chatham. With a score of 61 off 51, she was the game’s highest scorer (five fours and two sixes).
With ten runs needed and four wickets still in play, Rosenan Kanoh hit Diana for a four on the second ball of the final over to seal the win. Also, two of Tuba Hasan’s wickets were taken by Nida and Two, Nashra Sandhu and Kainat Imtiaz, respectively.
