The remaining eight games of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 will probably be hosted in Rawalpindi with a possible resumption on the cards following the official announcement of the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, sources informed Geo News on Saturday.
The administration of the league, according to the sources, has directed all six franchises to retain their foreign players in Dubai and asked the domestic players to prepare themselves for the remaining matches.
Sources went on to say that the PSL administration has begun to make arrangements for bringing all six teams to Islamabad, since Rawalpindi became the possible ground to stage the remaining eight games.
The decision came a day after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced to postpone the ongoing PSL 10 indefinitely on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives.
The cricket board said that PM Shehbaz had suggested delaying the showpiece league, in view of the ‘reckless aggression of India’ in the region. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announces the rescheduling of the remaining eight games of the HBL PSL X,” PCB said in a statement.
The decision to delay has been made according to advice received from Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif who has kept in mind the irresponsible belligerence of India that has reached a stage where national focus and sentiments are appropriately directed towards the gallant operations of the Armed Forces of Pakistan who are raising their voices in defense of the sovereignty of our dear Pakistan.
