Abrar Ahmed, the spinner for the Quetta Fighters, and Saud Shakeel, the opener, were both given punishment during Friday night’s encounter between Islamabad United and Quetta Combatants at the Public Bank Arena in Karachi. Level 1 infractions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct resulted in penalties for both players equal to 5% of their respective match costs. Under the PSL Overarching set of regulations, Abrar violated Article 2.4, which reads, “Resisting an umpire’s guidance during the match.”

It’s significant that Islamabad Joined crushed Quetta Warriors by a score of 39 runs. Joined’s victory pushed them to the subsequent Eliminator, where they will take against Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi at a similar area tomorrow.
