Imad Wasim makes PSL history in the Multan Sultans final. Imad Wasim, an all-rounder for Islamabad United, made history on Monday at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine final versus Multan Sultans.

In a PSL final, Imad, 35, became the first player to take five wickets. With figures of 5-23, the left-arm spinner concluded his four-over stint. With two wickets in his opening over, he brilliantly started the innings by getting rid of David Willey and the in-form Yasir Khan.

Imad became the first player to take five wickets in a PSL final when he proceeded to dismiss Khushdil Shah, Chris Jordan, and Johnson Charles, three more Sultans batsmen. Imad was still working his magic with the ball.

Imad, who captained Karachi Kings to PSL championship success in 2020, has emerged as one of Islamabad’s key players this year after stepping up in three crucial games for his team.

He bowled a world-class spell of 3-12 against Quetta Gladiators in the first Eliminator and scored 59* (40) against Peshawar Zalmi in the second Eliminator. He has been playing at the highest level in the ongoing PSL 9. Islamabad’s key player in their must-win group match against Multan Sultans.
