“I never declined to take a down. I responded I’m available when requested,” Rizwan said. “I also stated that I am prepared to bowl if needed and that I can even stop keeping wickets.

“If you look at my career to date, I have batted at positions 7, 8, and 9 in 26 games. I have batted in at number nine, but no hitter has. I can’t promise that I won’t take this action. “I am still ready now as I was before,” he continued.

In the interim, he also discussed his remarks in which he said that Pakistan had suffered as a result of the separation between him and Babar.
