Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam not sold in Hundred Draft in 2024

Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam are not featured in the Hundred Draft 2024. Babar Azam, Pakistan’s previous leader, and Muhammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-hitter, were not chosen in the Hundred 2024 player draft.

The draft contained up to 32 men’s cricket players, both recognized and new, who were separated into eight groups. Babar, Rizwan, and Pakistan’s T20 captain, Shaheen Afridi, were nearly too late to enter the draft. Welse Fire has signed Shaheen for a fee of £100,000. He spoke to the group the prior season as well.

Shakib Al Hasan, Tim David, Jason Roy, and David Warner, all well-known international cricketers, were excluded. West Indies players were highly sought after during the draft process. The Northern Superchargers selected Nicholas Pooran as their primary draft pick. The Trent Rockets selected Rovman Powell in the first round, Kieron Pollard signed with the Southern Valiant, and Andre Russell and Shimron Hetmyer will play for the London Soul. There were no Pakistani players selected in the women’s draft.
