United beat Gladiators to set up PSL 9 Eliminator 2. On Friday, Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators in Eliminator 1 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 at National Bank Stadium thanks to a strong bowling and batting performance. The 39-run victory ended Quetta Gladiators’ PSL 9 season, while Islamabad United advanced to Eliminator 2, where they will face Peshawar Zalmi.

Chasing 175, the Gladiators had a dismal start, losing half of their team during the batting powerplay with only 16 runs on the board. Mohammad Amir and Akeal Hosein each took two wickets for the Gladiators, while Mohammad Wasim Jr, Saud Shakeel, and Abrar Ahmed each dismissed a batsman. It is worth noting that the winner of Eliminator 1 will face Peshawar Zalmi in Eliminator 2 on Saturday in a quest to advance to the PSL 9 Final.
