PSL 9: The low attendance figures in Karachi surprised PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), expressed astonishment at the lower attendance for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine matches in Karachi.
Except for the ongoing final between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United, the National Bank Cricket Arena has hosted 11 matches, and attendance has been inconsistent. In an interview with reporters, Naqvi stated that PCB would try to find a solution later on.
PSL 9: The low attendance figures in Karachi surprised PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
“Why stadiums were empty in Karachi is a mystery and also a big quiz for me,” Naqvi said. It surprised me that not as many people traveled to Karachi as they went to Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. We’re looking for a way out,” he continued.
It should be mentioned that the Multan Sultans vs. Islamabad United final is now in progress. Sultans chose to bat first and have set a goal of 160 runs. While Iftikhar Ahmed made a cameo of 32 off 20 balls, Usman Khan hammered 57 off 40 balls.
Shadab Khan, the captain, took three wickets for 32 during his session, but Imad Wasim was United’s standout performer with five wickets.
